In the rain forest, the average temperature for the dry season is 82.2°F (27.9°C.) The average temperature for the wet season is 78.5°F (25.8°C.) Tropical rainforests receive a large amount of precipitation each year. The wettest tropical rain forests get 160 or more inches of rain each year. Dryer rain forests still get at least 40 inches of rain per year. Occasionally, there is a brief season of reduced precipitation.

Sunlight:
The tropical rainforest receives less than 2% of sunlight that reaches the floor of the rainforest.
